I woke up in the middle of the night feeling very nauseous. More nausea than anything I felt during first trimester. Went into the bathroom only to dry heave a few times. Of course I started whimpering and crying so my hubby came to see what was the matter. But I didnt know. Then the stomach pain started. I didnt know what was happening, so I called my nurse mother in the middle of the night just balling.
Of course she asked me many questions, "is it cramping" "does it come and go in waves." The only description I could give her was that it was burning in the center of my stomach and it hurt so bad I couldnt sit still. I was up pacing back and forth. Then of course you start thinking of all the questions, and my mind started going, well maybe it is cramping and not burning, oh my gosh. So mom called the hospital and had them transfer her to the baby unit to talk to one of the nurses there. I called this nurse to tell her exactly what I was feeling, and she couldnt be sure either. She also kept asking "does it feel like cramps." I didnt know how to answer that, all I knew was that it hurt so bad. The nurse suggested that I lay down for a bit and see if I could get the baby moving. I guess a baby moves 4 times each hour, so to wait an hour and see if the baby moved..if not to come to the hospital.
So even though it sort of hurt to lay down, I did, and at 4 in the morning, my hubby bubby played baby Ruch and I some music on the guitar. I thought maybe the noise would make baby Ruch move a bit. It took about 15 minutes of music, but sure enuf baby started twitching in there. I started crying just out of sheer relief I think. After the releif, even though I was still hurting, I was able to calm down and not cry so much, and finally fall asleep. I still woke up with some burning in my stomach, not nearly as bad though. Im not sure what is causing this burning and nausea but it sure isnt fun.
I dont know what I would have done without my mom to call, and my husband's calming care. I am so lucky. Thank you Father that baby Ruch is ok. He is moving around as I write this.

Happy pre-father's day to Jon
What a wonderful father's day. Actually Brian, Libby and JJ were able to come up to washington cause Libby was in our friend's wedding (Katie and Luke), so we got to have the whole family together today. I think that last time we were all together was at mine and Jon's wedding.
Katie and Luke's wedding was beautiful, and it was so wonderful to see those two finally tie the knot. Me and some other friends helped out by setting up the center pieces at their reception. Libby was the maid of honor in the wedding. JJ was the wedding mascot..haha just kidding.
JJ is growing so much. He is the pride and joy of the Harris family. We all just pass him around, and fill his cup with love. I absolutely love watching Jon with him cause he is such a natural with babies. Little JJ loves to play with uncle Johnny's beard. And its fun to watch Uncle Kevin with him too cause they are already little buddies. Just writing this makes me get teary eyed wishing the they were all home with us in washington. I imagine it must be so hard for the Ruch family to have Jon so far away here in washington. Especially mama Ruch.
Baby Ruch is growing so much in my belly. Well at least I am growing so much. As I always whine about, am just packing on the weight daily. Trying my best to be healthy and continue with light exercise, but still blowing up like a balloon. Baby Ruch is very active inside my belly..kicking and turning all the time. Ive officially hit 6 months. So 4 more to go. Yes pregnancy is actually 10 months mom, not 9.
Jon and I will be headed to vegas in july for our last horrah before baby. Mom and Pop Ruch will be meeting us there and we are so excited. Im sure it will be soo hot and Ill be a bit uncomfortable but heck it will beat being in this washington rain. When is it gonna stop raining, my goodness. ??

surprise sacramento baby shower
So I just got back from a trip to see my girls in sacramento. I went to celebrate a bridal shower for my friend Ashley who is getting married 4 days before my due date (thus Im missing the wedding :( ). So I went to have a surprise shower for her. But as I Ashley and I opened the door to the surprise shower, she thought she was tricking me and the very moment I thought I was tricking her. But all the girls tricked both of us, because neither of us knew that it was a joint shower for both of us. So Ashley had a bridal shower and I had a baby shower. It was so much fun, because not only were my girls all there, but the mom's and sisters and aunts of my girls were there too. These are the families I grew up with and they still treat me like Im one of theirs. I love them all.
I got spoiled beyond belief. I was so overwhelmed with love and blessings of everything from baby clothes, to little baby converse shoes, to a car seat, to binkies and bottle cleaners. One of my moms also made the baby his first baby blanket. Its so cute.
I couldnt have had a better weekend with my girlfriends. It was a nice relaxing weekend, and te weather was warm and wonderful. Now Im back to my husband and my doggies and work. Back to work tomorrow. :(
