Jon's Blood Clot

So all week Jon had been making comments about his leg hurting. On wednesday he really was complaining about it. I had no idea why it was hurting, but I just sort of chalked it up to some sort of muscle ache/pain. On thursday he woke me up out of a deep sleep early in the morning saying "call your mom." (since my mom is a nurse). He tells me that he just got this fear and started googling blod clots on the internet. And he said he had all the symptoms of a blod clot. I was like oh yeah right, you dont have a blood clot, stop being dramatic. I called my mom and she also was like, he's too young, and too healthy. We thought maybe his leg is hurting from riding his motorcycle. He called his mom, who is also a nurse, and she also didnt think it was an urgent matter. So I brushed it off, and went into work. Before I leave for work he tells me he is going to go in and see his doctor. So he calls me while Im at work and says the doctor did a doppler reading, and they are sending him to the hospital to get checked out because sure enough he has a blood clot. How the heck did he predict that he had a blood clot. I still don't get it. Of course Im at work when I find all this out, so Im all worried, and anxious, and want to be with him, but I can't leave work. So Im sitting there at work, just worried about all the worst things that this could turn into. Luckily work let me go early, and I went to Good Sam ER where he was still waiting after a long time to be seen. Finally the doc sees him and says he is going to be admitted to the hospital, to do tests, and be on a cumadin IV. They couldnt tell me if he was going to be there a few hours, or days. So today (friday), I still had to go to work, and he was there in the hospital all day. I stressed so much, and felt so guilty that I wasnt by his side. I didnt sleep all night long. I noticed at one point that I was starting to get cramps in my belly, and started to freak out a bit and had to will myself to calm down so my stress didnt hurt the baby. It is crazy how you worry so much about someone that is your whole world..someone you love soo much. Finally when I got off work at 4, I went to visit him at the hospital, and they decided they were gonna discharge him. Basically, in short, Jon had a blood clot in his upper thigh. Who knows how the heck he got it. Its not a very common thing for someone of his age and health, so thats why it was so wierd and worrisome. He has to follow up at a cumadin clinic to get shots of blood thinners for a few days and monitor the clot. He will have to be on blood thinners for a few months also. Right now, now that he is home, baby and I are just pooped tired, from worrying about daddy so much. Thank you God for making him be ok, and please heal his body so that there are no further complications related to this.
Baby and I are also ok, but I did learn from someone, that some of the pains, and things I was feeling in my belly were most likely braxton hicks. I didnt know what those were, but now I do, and it felt like my belly was gonna pop, because it was getting so tight. Jon worried me so much he caused me braxton hicks. JEEZ. ...Men!!

Babymoon in Vegas

We just got home from our babymoon. Thanks to both of our parents...mama and papa harris who provided the plane tickets, and mama and papa ruch who provided the time share for us to stay in. Mama and Papa Ruch also met us there in vegas which was so wonderful. They continued to spoil us while we were there. But more importantly, it was so nice to just spend some time with them since they live in virginia so we don't get to see them very often. Jon and his dad bonded on the black jack tables, while his mom and I caught up in conversation.

It was so hot there... like 108 degrees. We tried to lay out by the pool in little spurts 'cause it was too hot to be out there for any long period of time. But I loved it. It was wonderful dry heat just like sacramento. We relaxed in our hotel room, did a little gambling...simply a time of pure relaxation. It was wonderful. Jon kept busy at the black jack tables. Sometimes he was up, sometimes he was down. He ended up down for the weekend. I found my favorite nickel machine, the I dream of Jeanie machine which took my money pretty fast. But I had fun anyway.
I think Jon is warming up more everyday about being a daddy. Now that baby Ruch is visibly making my belly move, he always wants to put his hands on my belly, which is so cute. He has been so great about attending to me...rubbing my feet, carrying any and all bags, and just always taking care of me. I am the luckiest wife in the world. I know that he is going to be the best dad. I can't wait to watch his face when baby Ruch comes into this world.

Update!

Well I have no pictures to accomodate this post either, but thought it has been a while since I updated the blog, so Ill just update with some random stuff.

Right now Im just chugging along working. Baby Ruch likes to move around a lot around 10 o clock at night while Im at work. It makes it hard to focus on work actually. Which believe me, I dont mind not concentrating on work at all. I wish I could retire and be a stay at home mom, but I just dont ever see that being in the cards for me. Thanks a lot to my workaholic parents, I'm probably doomed to be a worker bee the rest of my life too.

At home, Im going at a snails pace trying to get everything ready. Most of it is that I'm so uncertain on what it is exactly that Im supposed to do and get, so unless my mom tells me what to do, then I just sort of do nothing. Right now we have car seats, still in boxes sitting in the living room. We did finally get some crib bedding. But I feel overwhelmed with the other big purchases we still need to get. In fact, the whole thing is overwhelming. Sometimes I still can't believe I'm pregnant. I wake up in the middle of the night, and think dang I got fat, and then remember that Im pregnant. :) Its a good thing I have little Henry and Mr. Winston to snuggle me when I get tearful and scared. They are so good at knowing when I need them to lay on. Mr. Winston especially makes a good pillow.

Welp, I'm sort of just rambling, Im not sure whate else to write, so I'll spare you all and just leave it at that. haha what a funny random post.
