Sawyer having his first taste of organic avocado and breast milk baby food. :) He liked it.

Have I mentioned yet that being a mom is hard work. And being a wife is hard work. I feel like all my energies are in all different directions and I am exhausted. Today, particularly was a busy and overwhelming day. I spent time house hunting, driving far to a chiropractor, grocery shopping, taking care of 2 extremely overwhelming dogs,...taking care of Sawyer is actually the easy part, because its so rewarding, but I know that cleaning the kitchen isnt going to last long..haha. I sound like a typical old lady and mother. haha. I sound like my mom. :) But honestly things are going well...Sawyer is honestly and truly such a good baby and I am so blessed to have him. I am having so much fun being his mother. :)

Sawyer 5 months old

Sawyer is just cruisin along, meeting all his milestones. You can see that he just recently started rolling over from his back to his tummy. He likes to reach for things, and I think he is gonna crawl pretty soon. He tries to all the time, but just sort of tries but doesnt move. My little man is so perfect. He's napping right now, giving his mama time to update the blog. :)

Update

Sawyer is almost 5 months old. I cannot believe it. It was only yesterday that I was waddling around here, crying, and begging for this baby to get out of me. He is doing so good. He is such a good baby. Right now he is napping like a champ. He is getting really strong. He rolls over from his belly to back but not his back to belly...but he tries and hangs out on his side for awhile. He babbles a lot and is making the sounds...."ma ma mam mama ma ma" I cant help but think he is calling for me. :) Jon makes Sawyer laugh so loud. He does not laugh like that with me. Then again, I am not able to be as silly and goofy as Jon, but that is certainly a connection the two of them have....laughing together. Sawyer absolutely looks at his daddy in awe. It is so cute. Nothing makes me fall in love with my boys more than watching those two together.

Sawyer is also doing a great job in the nursery at the YMCA. The ladies in there just adore him. Every time they bring him out to me they say "he is such a good baby." I dont know how we got so lucky. I think its fair enough though that I was so miserable being pregnant, that God knew that I needed to have a good baby otherwise I truly wouldnt be able to be pregnant again.

Anyway gotta run, little man is stirring from his nap.
Love you all

Happy and Healthy Saw Man

Saw Man and the other men of God in the Hope Kids nursery :)
Saw Man and daddy playing the banjo!
Getting ready to go in the pool at the YMCA

Well, currently Sawyer and his daddy are sitting next to me on the couch while they watch Cash Cab (a trivia game show). Sawyer loves to sit in his daddy's lap and hang out. He is very content there. Jon recently bought a banjo so he has been playing music all over the house. Sawyer is very interested in watching his daddy play. I wonder if he will be musical like Jon. That would make us both very happy. Today we also went in the pool at the YMCA. Sawyer has been in the pool a few times, and every time he has done so good. I dont let him be in there too long, cause the water is a bit cold and after awhile his lips start to turn blue, so then we get out. :) But even with blue lips, he is still smiling having fun.

Jon and I had quite a day yesterday. Apparently we got food poisening 'cuz we both woke up at the exact same time in the middle of the night and started being sick. Let's just say both bathrooms were occupied all night long. It was miserable throughout the whole day. And little Saw Man did such a great job. When Jon and I couldnt even pay attention to him, he just happily kept himself busy in his swing, or bouncy seat. Then his Oma came over to play with him while JOn and I slept. It was a miserable day. But we are already feeling better and now spending family time on the couch. :)

Sawyer is getting so tall. He just had his 4 mos old check up..he weighed in at 15lbs and 12oz. He was in the 60th percentile for weight. He was 25 inches long, which put him in the 90th percentile for height. And lil man was only in the 20th percentile for head circumference. I guess he's got a little head...but he is still so perfect. :) He loves to suck his two middle fingers. Sometimes he even will put 3 or 4 fingers in his mouth at once, and I have even caught him trying to put his whole fist in his mouth before. Yesterday we also tried to give him a bite of rice cereal. He took it very well. He made a funny face at it, but he still ate it. We still plan on just feeding breast milk, but we thought we'd try to see how he took some rice cereal.

Welp, thats the update. Little Saw Man is doing wonderfully.
